Catching up with Kimla

Ben and I went to dinner last night with John Kimla who is in town this week for work. Kimla went to Texas A&M with Ben and me, and although we don't get to see him nearly as often as we'd like these days, we try to get together every once in awhile to catch up. Ben, Kimla, and I met in the fall of 2002 (our first semester of college) when we were all in the same physics class, calculus class, AND engineering class. Kimla and I met the first week of school as we were assigned to the same Engineering 111 group, and although Ben wasn't technically in our group, that first semester was also when Ben and I started dating, so needless to say, the 3 of us spent a lot of time together.

It's crazy to think that we've known Kimla for over 7 years, but then again, in some ways it feels like we've all known each other forever. We have been through so much together and have so many wonderful memories. Kimla studied with us on the 5th floor of the Annex for 3+ years, was Ben's roommate at Briarwood, came to my rescue when Rhonda (my '89 Honda Accord) died in the middle an intersection on the way to my 8 o'clock class, and served as a groomsmen in our wedding.

Looking back on it, I really miss the "good old days". I'm glad that I'm no longer in school, but I honestly do miss studying on the 5th floor of the Annex until midnight every night....at which point the guy with the bullfrog voice would come and tell us that the Annex was closing and that we needed to pack up our stuff....as if he hadn't just told us the exact same thing the night before. Haha.....the good old days. :)

Here are a few Annex pictures from back in the day.
Doesn't it look like fun???

Oh, and on a side note, Hut's Hamburgers are apparently buy-one-get-one-free on Wednesdays. Score!

Lindsay, you really look exactly the same as seven years ago! You must have preservative since time can not leave anything on your face.
