Happy {Belated} Halloween!

We didn't really do much this year for Halloween other than pass out candy to the trick-or-treaters. I was really hoping that this year's turnout would be better than last year's (although it couldn't really get much worse considering we didn't get a single trick-or-treater last year), so this year, we decided to sit outside with the Sotos so that the kids would know that #1. we were home and that #2. we had lots of candy to hand out. I would say that we had about 30 trick-or-treaters total. Most of them were really little kids, and a couple of them were trick-or-treating for the very first time. I loved seeing all of their cute little costumes and had a great time snacking on M&M's while I handed them out. We also snacked on rice krispie treats, cupcakes, pumpkin seeds, and even ordered a couple of pizzas. Whoever said Halloween was just for kids???

Yesterday was also an exciting day because Ben held Miles for the first time ever. It wasn't really by choice, but both mine and Cheryl's hands were full, and Jason wasn't outside yet, so he didn't really have any other option.
He does look pretty cute with a baby though, don't you think? ;) And if I had to guess, I'm pretty sure that comments like that one are the main reason he has gone this long without holding him.

And just because these pictures are too precious to not post... Tonight the Sotos came over for dinner, and we made steak, mashed potatoes, corn, and squash. We had lots of fun eating and talking while all of our "babies" slept.
Amos really isn't sure what to think of the whole thing, but Annie absolutely loves Miles.
Aren't they just precious?
