Christmastime

I absolutely love this time of year, but sometimes I wish it weren't so busy. I feel like I've been rushing around nonstop the past week trying to get everything done, but then again, I kinda feel like that's how life is in general these days. Everyone keeps asking what I need/want for Christmas, and I'll admit that I haven't been very helpful in giving anyone ideas, but if someone could please either give me more hours in the day or more days in the week (preferably more days in the weekend), that would be great.

Here's a glimpse of what I've been up to this past week...

I borrowed one of Grandma's Christmas outfits for our Tacky Christmas Sweater Contest at work and won 1st place -- a $25 Visa gift card. Pretty good, huh?
I babysat Miles so that Jason and Cheryl could go to a Christmas party and had a great time hanging out with one my favorite baby boys. He really is such a good baby -- even if he did pee all over me while I was giving him a bath.
We finally took Holly and Nelson out to dinner to celebrate Nelson's birthday. I'm embarrassed to say that his birthday was back in August and that it took us thing long to get together to celebrate, but the good news is that we had a lot of fun. Happy {VERY} Belated Birthday Nelson!
And last, but not least, I was able to cross off several things on my "to do" list over the past week.
  • I met my deadline at work and am no longer working such crazy hours,
  • I sent out letters to all of the scholarship applicants,
  • I sent out all of our Christmas cards,
  • I was approved to take the P.E. exam in April,
  • And, as of tonight, I am officially done with my Christmas shopping. Yay!
