I'm {finally} finished.

I finished cleaning out my bedroom at my parents' house this past weekend, and personally, I think I did a pretty good job packing up my entire bedroom and closet into just a few small boxes.  I'm still hoping to get rid of a few more things, but I'm really in no hurry.  Progress is progress, and I like taking baby steps.

I also saved just a few things from my closet.  My beautiful wedding wedding dress, which Holly was nice enough to model.

Too bad it's not socially acceptable to wear your wedding dress out and about.  Because if it was, I totally would.
I also kept the Aggie overalls that I made over 8 years ago to wear to the football games.

I also made a pair for Ben, and yes, he actually even wore them a couple of times.  That was back in the day when he loved me so much that he would do just about anything.

Holly came out to finish packing up her stuff, too, and we had a lot of fun going through her things.  First of all, I'm so glad that I have only 1 Hi-Stepper uniform as opposed to the 6 cheerleader uniforms that Holly has.
And considering the number of journals we found, I think it's safe to say that Holly was destined to end up with a degree in communication.  Our favorite entries were the ones that listed out her favorite baby names.  Very random and very funny, and all I can say is that I really hope I don't end up with a niece named "Stevie Charlene" -- yikes!  We also found {and kept} Holly's favorite sleep shirt.  Morris is the mascot for 9Lives cat food, and G got this free shirt over 20 years ago when she lived in San Antonio with her cat Lee Sue.  I'm not really sure how Holly ended up with the shirt, but she slept in it for years.  It was huge back in elementary school and got progressively smaller as time went on.
So it's official -- I'm completely moved out of my parents' house and am now trying to find a place in my house to store all of my boxes.  Thankfully, Annie and Amos have been nice enough to share their room with all of my junk for now, but more than likely, most of it will probably end up in the attic.  I'm just waiting till it's not 105 degrees outside to go up there.  Needless to say, it might be awhile.
