What We've Been Up To

So does anyone know if they give out an award for "Worst Blogger Ever"?!  Because, if nothing else, I'm pretty sure that I'd at least be in the running {if not win!} with my lack of blog posts lately.  I'm not really sure what my deal is -- but I guess I've just been so busy doing all sorts of fun things the past few weeks that I really haven't had much time to sit down and blog about it.  But, in an effort to {quickly} catch up all of my loyal readers, here's just some of what I've been up to...

• We made a trip to San Antonio to see Justin & Natalie who came home briefly from Abu Dhabi.
  
  
• I wore a makeshift eye patch after my contact ripped at work and before I got a chance to go home and get my glasses.
  
• I ran on Town Lake and later had coffee at Starbucks with Kristin & Sophia.
• I spent a lot of time hanging out with Miles {and Cheryl} and enjoyed watching him learn how to crawl out the dog door.
  
    
• I went shopping for some new things for our house, and Annie decided to claim some of them as her own.
    
• We went to happy hour and dinner at Matt's El Rancho with our Sunday School class.
• I went to Amanda's Baby Shower and watched her open TONS of gifts {everything of which came in 3 since she's having triplets!}.
• We helped move Grandma into an assisted living facility, which ended up being SUCH a good move for her {thank the Lord!}.
• We celebrated a belated Mother's Day with Kyle and spent the day swimming with Charlie, Molly, Kevin, Matt, Sam, and their girlfriends Lexi and Anica.
• I hosted my women's group at my house, and we had a great time chatting and snacking on all sorts of good food.
• We helped Holly move into my mom's house -- where she'll be for the next 6 months until she and Nelson get married.
• I went with my mom to Dallas' baby shower and had a great time seeing her, Mary, and all of their family.
• I went with my mom to Livi and Sophie's dance recital and watched from the front row with Jack and the rest of the family.
   
  
• We went to dinner at Vivo's to celebrate Abel's birthday and then went and sang karaoke. 
• I ran a bunch of errands and ended up getting to meet Jack when I bumped into him & Kasey and also saw Caroline & Ms. Critendon who were having  a "girls day".
  
• We celebrated Jav's birthday with a bunch of really good food next door.
• I went to happy hour with Ralph & Kathy at a really cool new place called Swift's Attic.
• I did a Mobile Loaves & Fishes run with my women's group and had a great time serving the homeless.
• We celebrated Amos' 4th birthday.
  
• I went to a free Saturday morning CrossFit class and loved it!
• I went coupon shopping at Walgreens and CVS and got everything shown below for only $30, which is 76% off the original total .
   
    
• We {ahem...actually just Bubbs} spent a couple of Saturdays sunbathing.
   
  
• I made a couple of day trips to Houston for work
• We met Ben's family & Mary Catherine for dinner at Eastside Cafe.
  
• We watched The Wheeler Brothers play at Blues on the Green.
  
   
   
    
• I got a haircut -- although it was more of just a trim since I'm trying to grow it out for Holly's wedding.
  
    
• We loaded everybody up into the car {A&A included} and celebrated a belated Mother's Day with my mom by blowing the leaves out of her gutters, power washing her back patio, and trimming her trees.
  
   
    
• We celebrated Father's Day with my dad by going to lunch at our family favorite -- Red Lobster.
  
• And last, but certainly not least, we celebrated Father's Day with Steve at their house.
