Hanging out with Grandma at the baptismal after-party.
Trying on the wet suit that he got from my dad and Patty. If I had to guess, I'd say he likes it. ;)
This little boy is always so sweet at bedtime.
He loves this teether...
...almost as much as he loves the baby in the mirror.
On one of my days off, I met up with a couple of other girls in WTS to eat lunch and to hand over my scholarship chair duties. I've really enjoyed leading this committee for the past 3+ years and thought about signing up for another term, but I really just don't have the free-time that I used to. Thankfully, my mom offered to watch Jackson so that I could eat lunch and go over everything with them distraction-free.
The meeting went great, but I wasn't expecting to find this when I came out to the parking lot.
Thankfully, Ben was able to come change it for me, so while I waited for him to get there, I killed time in a couple of expensive boutiques that I really had no business being in and somehow scored a complimentary ring cleaning.
My knight in shining {a.k.a. retroreflective} armor.
The only use this little hand weight has seen since Jackson was born.
It looks like he's actually enjoying his carrots mixed with cereal and milk in these pictures...
...but looks can be deceiving. ;)He definitely takes after me -- one minute, he's wide awake and in the best mood ever...
....and the next minute, he's out!
Dinner delivery from the world's greatest {former} neighbors. Can you say "spoiled"?
Hard at work with Aunt Holly and Uncle Nelson.Aunt Holly definitely knows how to make bath time fun.
I wonder how his sock got all wet. ;)
Stroller Strides is simply exhausting!
I laid Jackson down for a nap with his Puppy Lovey and decided to go back in and get it after he had fallen asleep. I changed my mind as soon as I saw this though.
SWEETEST. THING. EVER.
The week after we closed on our house, Ben spent the evenings putting down wood floors in the bedroom with his parents so that they would be done before we moved in.
He was sad to miss bedtime every night, so I did my best to get a few pictures for him.
Well hello there, Mr. Raccoon...
Why smile at the camera when you can smile at your Mimi instead? ;)
Only 6 months old, but definitely filling out his a 12-month sleeper.
Our little roly poly...
...and his little rosy cheeks.
The day that I realized we needed to lower the crib. ;)
Getting ready for a fun football season.
I did a couple of yells for him just for fun, and he LOVED it!I'm not really sure why I put down a quilt anymore.
The day that we moved into our new house {!!!} and Jackson's new walker.
A couple pictures for dad.Unfortunately, one of us forgot to have the gas turned on {ahem...Ben}, and because they weren't able to come out for a few days, we had to boil water on the stove and bathe Jackson in the sink.
Thankfully, I don't think Jackson seemed to mind though. ;)
One last picture before bed.One afternoon, I took Jackson to run a couple of errands...
...and after we were done, I took him to the nearby snow cone stand.
Baby's 1st {unflavored} snow cone.
He was DEFINITELY a fan. :)
Playing with our new toy....
...with just a little bit of help. ;)
Peaches!!!
Jackson's favorite part of the new house -- his new swing!
Our little DIYer. ;)
There's nothing quite like a nice warm bubble bath. ;)
Ben and the "rios" that Miles bought him.
One morning after Sunday School, the guys convinced us to skip church and to go to lunch instead.
I mean -- who wouldn't agree to this? :)
A family picture in our new backyard.
Getting a little better at this whole food thing...
...slowly but surely.
Hanging out on our new foam mat from the Sotos.
Jury is still out on which one of us loves it the most. ;)
Selfies are the best!
A walk around the neighborhood with Hobbes.
Look at the big boy!
One afternoon, my mom and I took Jackson to Northwest Pool -- our "neighborhood pool" and the pool that my mom went to when she was a little girl.
We had a great time hanging out in the baby pool and snacking on watermelon...
...and we were so glad we got a chance to go before the pool closed for the year!Dad wanted a picture, but someone was ready for a nap and was only able to give him half of a smile. ;)
Stroller Strides at Zilker Park.
I finally got him to eat the entire jar of carrots, but I'm pretty sure he was wearing most of them.
This boy is WAY too smart.
One evening, we walked over to Phil's Ice House for dinner...
...stopped to get Jackson a snow cone...
...and then headed over to our neighbor's house for some homemade strawberry ice cream that was made with a John Deere tractor engine!
Needless to say, it was a very FUN evening. :)
Ben and his parents spent a weekend putting in a dog run.
Thankfully, my job was to entertain this cutie, which was way better than digging post holes. ;)
One of our sweet church nursery workers.
Such a stud muffin.
A few pictures for Grandparents' Day.
Finally got a picture showing off one of his pearly whites.
Emptying the toy basket is one of his favorite games.
3 generations of Liggett men.
We met Cheryl and Avery at Gymboree during their "open house" week.
Jackson loved the bubbles, but in these pictures, it looks like I loved them even more than he did. ;)
Hanging out in my office parking garage one morning before Mimi got there.
Worn out after meeting up with some friends for lunch.
A selfie for dad.
So proud of himself. :)
And thankful that his new floor mat is so forgiving. ;)Safety first!
I hope he's always this happy to go to bed!
Chewing on a paper towel roll that he found in our recycle bag. It really is amazing how much he and the dogs have in common. ;)
A little bit of teether action during Stroller Strides.
Jackson and all of my sweaty workout clothes that he had pulled out of the bag sitting next to him while driving down Mopac -- yuck!!!
Breakfast at Torchy's Tacos.
Gig 'em, Aggies!
Redneck pack-n-play. ;)
Playing with {great!} Grandma.
My first time to EVER mow a yard. :)
Missing our favorite Marine Sam.
A little bit of Monday morning bed head.
Waiting in the parking garage for Mimi to get there.
I decided to cut my hair {in hopes that Jackson wouldn't pull it as much}, and so far, so good.
Before
After
Playing with this cutie is so much fun -- and one of the biggest reasons I fall so far behind on my blog ;)
Playing outside in the rain.
Welp, that about sums it up. Here's hoping that I can get back on track and STAY on track, but I'm not making any promises. ;)
