After work today, Ben and I went downtown to Momo's to see his cousins' band play. Tonight was their first gig downtown, so it was pretty exciting, and they did an awesome job! They have been practicing so much over the past few months, which was very apparent, and they actually have quite a few of their own original songs now, so that was pretty cool, too. I had never been to Momo's before, and although it was super HOT, it was a lot of fun. There were so many people there, and we had a great time talking with family, friends, and people that we hadn't seen in awhile while listening to some great music. Speaking of people that I hadn't seen in awhile, right before the band came on, 3 girls that I went to high school with walked through the door -- Carrie Dichard, Darcy Borella, and Vanessa Marshall. Come to find out, Carrie went to college with Ben's cousins at LSU and still hangs out with them on a fairly regular basis today. Small world, huh? I hadn't seen any of them in 8+ years, so it was fun catching up.
Unfortunately, the only pictures that I got of the band was of them "in action". All of the guys had so much energy up there and were moving all around, so my pictures are a little on the blurry side.

Patrick, Tyler, and Nolan (Ben's cousins) actually played at our wedding reception long before the band was official. They were formerly known as
The Wheeler Brothers Band, but now that a couple of friends have joined, their new name is
From Where They Run.

After the show, we went to 24 Diner with Ben's parents to eat dinner before Ben headed back to work and I headed home to do equally important stuff -- like play on the internet and blog. :)
