So I found out last night that I passed the P.E. exam. Yay!
I met Abby at the mall after work yesterday to celebrate her {very belated} birthday. I'm embarrassed to admit that we just now got together to celebrate considering her birthday was 5 months ago, but we have both been so busy with my exam and her last semester of grad school, that we really just haven't had time to get together to celebrate. I had originally planned to take her to Bartlett's {formerly known as Houston's} for a nice dinner, but at the last minute, we decided to meet at the mall instead. We both agreed that it really didn't matter what we ate. We just wanted to get together, and shopping sounded pretty fun, too. So after catching up over a very fancy Chick-fil-A dinner at the food court, we hit the stores. We both found some pretty good deals at Ann Taylor LOFT {one of my new favorite stores}, and after walking into Gap, I realized that I had a text from Erin that said that the scores had been posted online. My heart immediately began to race, and Abby offered me her phone so that I could check the website. While I was logging on, Abby suggested that she take a picture of me getting the results and grabbed my phone out of my purse. I was a little hesitant to have her take pictures considering the fact that I would probably burst into tears if I didn't pass, but she promised me that she would just delete them if that were the case and snapped away.
Obviously, I was very thrilled with the results. I screamed out loud in the middle of Gap {in the middle of the long and lean jean section to be exact}, and after seeing the pictures, I have to admit that "thrilled" might be an understatement. It honestly felt so surreal, and it was so much fun finding out something so exciting with such a good friend. After leaving Gap, we walked around aimlessly just talking about how exciting it was to be done. I talked to a couple of people on the phone {including Erin who also passed with flying colors}, and then we decided to call it a night and head home -- but not before stopping by the Dillard's hat section on our way out to do a little modeling. Why is it that the most over-the-top hats always look so cute on?
Abby, thanks for always being such a good friend and for being so excited with me. I hope you had fun celebrating your "birthday". Personally, I know that it's an evening that I will NEVER forget.
