Yesterday, Jason and Cheryl hosted a diaper party at their house for us and invited a bunch of our friends over. They made a bunch of appetizers {buffalo chicken bites, mini tacos, pasta salad, fruit salad, queso, and pico}, which were, of course, all delicious, and we had a great time hanging out with everyone.

They also served a really good white chocolate cake {that I unfortunately didn't get a picture of before it was devoured} and really cute stork cookies that Cheryl's sister April made.
The girls had a great time hanging out and talking about all things baby/kid-related, and the guys had a great time watching football and drinking beer.

So many of my friends give me a hard time that I've never had a housewarming party {or any other type of party for that matter}, so it was nice to finally be able to get so many people together that had heard so much about each other but had never met.

At one point, a group of us even made a trip over to our house for a quick tour and to see the baby's nursery {in its current disastrous and incomplete state}.

That night, after everyone had left, Cheryl said, "I don't know why you don't ever have any parties -- your friends are so fun!" And she's right -- our friends are a lot of fun! Maybe that can be one of my New Year's resolutions -- more parties. Keep your fingers crossed, but I wouldn't necessarily hold your breath. ;)

Thanks again to both Jason and Cheryl for such a fun party and for all of the work that you put into it and to all of our friends for helping us stock up on {816!!!} diapers. We really are so blessed.
