Holly's Bachelorette Party

A couple of weekends ago, nine of Holly's closest friends joined us in Austin to celebrate "Holly's Final Fling Before the Ring", and we had such a great time!  The weekend started off with lunch at Hula Hut and then a hike on The Barton Creek Greenbelt.  While the other people hiking the trail wore boots and CamelBaks, our group sported sunglasses and carried the lattes that we had picked up at Mozart's.  Our huge group of girls definitely looked out of place, but it was such a beautiful day, we had a great time, and before we knew it, we had hiked over 3 miles!

After our hike, we headed downtown and checked into the Hilton.  Holly was able to get us up on the executive level through her connections at work, so we were up on the 25th floor and our view was awesome!

Hiking around all afternoon had definitely made us hungry, but thankfully, I had brought a few snacks.

I was especially proud of how cute my fruit skewers turned out.

Like it says on the cups..."What Happens at the Bachelorette Party Stays at the Bachelorette Party".

Holly's fancy glass used to say "Girls' Night Out" before I hand washed it in hot water the night before.  Now it just says "Night Out" -- haha.

I also brought stuff to make cosmopolitans and apple martinis and was told that both mixes were delicious.  Kinda ironic that the pregnant one was the one mixing all the drinks -- don't you think?

And as if all of that food and drink wasn't enough, the sales girl at the Hilton also had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries sent up to the room.

The strawberries were amazing, and since I couldn't drink, I decided that it was only fair for me to have two...or three.  But who's counting? ;)

After lounging around for a little while, we decided to get cleaned up and then met back up in my hotel room for pictures {obviously everyone wanted a picture with the beautiful bride-to-be} and a lingerie shower.

My gift {a re-gift from Audrey} was definitely the best.

On our way out to dinner, we stopped in the hotel lobby for a group picture -- Audrey, Beth, Meagan, Holly, Catherine, Abby, Leanna, me, Sally, Grace, and Jenni.

And then walked over to Moonshine.  The wait was over an hour, but thankfully, we were able to find a couple of tables near the bar and had a great time chatting over drinks and appetizers while we waited.

After a delicious dinner, we headed over to Pete's Dueling Piano Bar.  It was a lot of fun, and we were even able to get them to call Holly up on stage.  She had to perform to the song "Joy to the World" with James {the guy in the red tie} and did a great job.

Although she was embarrassed at first,  she quickly warmed up and had a lot of fun with it.

After hanging out at Pete's for a little while, we left to find a place where we could dance.  Because it was the weekend before Halloween, 6th Street was crazy packed, but eventually, we made our way to Shakespeare's and ended up dancing in one of the back rooms till almost 2 o'clock!  That next morning, we all got up and went down the hall for breakfast.  Staying on the executive level also meant that we had access to the concierge lounge and a continental breakfast.  We're such high class. ;)

 

After breakfast, we packed up, and everybody parted ways.  It had been a great weekend and one of the best bachelorette parties I had ever been to.  All of Holly's friends are such wonderful ladies, and we had so much fun celebrating and partying with such a special bride-to-be.  It definitely doesn't get any better than that, and I can't wait for the wedding.  Less than a month to go -- yay! :)
